He never went to class
But spelt OCS, OB and AK,
He RAN like Athletics Kenya
His, a sprint life,
Severed by a bullet
His grammar, judges' sentence,
Arithmetic of strokes and crosses
Calendar math on cell walls,
Sum of painful lessons learnt
Minus a mothers’ healing salve,
Like a problem, life’s solved
He remembered the dumpsite lessons
His realness checked,he excelled
Inside windowless classes
